Virginians For Quality Healthcare joins forces with Americans For Prosperity in standing firm to oppose a predictably crippling expansion of Medicaid which would be a financial disaster for Virginia. In a nutshell, as Delegate Landes expressed, Washington has NO money. In order to cover any expansion of welfare programs they are going to need to print money or lie to get States on the hook. Either option is a lethal prescription for economic freedom, affordable healthcare and any plan of a prosperous America.

Nope, this is not a sequel to the action packed Bond series filmed in my native country Honduras. I truly hate to disappoint you. This is an admonition, albeit a loving one, to my adopted nation and its citizens to open their eyes to the “action packed” government by fiat of President Obama. It’s an apprehensive red-flag raising that should we fail to see it waved portends great economic disaster and absolute erosion of the roots of the American ideal; that in America it doesn’t matter where you come from, it matters where you are going to; that in America anything is possible; that in America we don’t envy or resent what our neighbor has; that in America unalienable rights are given to us by our creator not the government. America must be for FREE people, continue its role of beacon of liberty, self-governance and gateway to the vast economic prosperity that has earned it the title of leader of the free world. America must listen to the higher calling first heeded by our founding fathers. My admonition comes full of love and admiration for the ideals which America represents and which we must make every effort to promulgate if we are to leave this place better than we found it for each coming generation. My dear Americans, it shouldn’t take those less blessed to remind Americans of the plenitude of blessings America may throw out the window should they choose “to give-up and renounce rather than gain and produce; to starve rather than prosper, to plunder rather than achieve” by giving a collectivist-statist four more years.
Mr. Obama has not stopped one second since his arrival into the presidency of United States of America. Some have characterized it as an apotheosis, some as a disaster in the making. Too many have made it all about race forgetting what makes him tic. Signing executive orders left and right, he set out to fundamentally change the ideological substance and economic platform of this nation. He has turned upside down decades of sound corporate law and transgressed the principles of property ownership on which this nation was built, in order to soothe Union friends. He has extended government spending adding agenda-driven programs that favor only specific groups and playing the fiddle of identity politics like a maestro. He has stood on the wrong side of the issue with dictators around the world. He stood with Iran’s Ahmadinejad who continues to deny Iran’s pursuit of nuclear armaments. He stood with Manuel Zelaya in Honduras, a puppet man for Hugo Chavez, who sought to change the Honduran constitution in order to retain his seat in the presidency.
Mr. Obama’s role in the Honduran debacle profiled him, in my eyes and before the Honduran nation, as a leftist hack leading an assault on foreign soil sovereignty. The Obama-Clinton State Department and the Foreign Relations Committee presided by Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass) lead a relentless pursuit to mis-characterize the expulsion of self-declared leftist Zelaya and cloak the whole matter as a coup d’état. It was not. This same cast of nasty characters coming to the rescue of a leftist comrade in the heart of Central America not only stripped off of US visas those fighting for Honduran sovereignty but arm-twisted the new administration elected last year to accept the traitor Zelaya back. The thuggery and repressive tactics supporting the spread of collectivist Marxism à la Chavez are so obvious to me, why are they not to the rest of Americans? That leftist ideologue’s policies are also destroying my adopted and beloved America.
I am not alone in bringing you this message. I just attended my 35th High School reunion earlier this week in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The march towards collectivism that Mr. Obama spearheads in America, casting its shadow in the rest of the American continent, was obvious to most of us congregated there. A good friend of mine concerned with the expansion of Marxist ideology in Central America and determined to do something for our native country has even written an inspiring little book. (The book titled “Confites En El Infierno, Una Alegoria Sobre el Peligro Del Socialismo y la Demagogia” – Jack Midence Linton, is being currently translated into English and should be available through Amazon soon.) I sat down and read my friend’s book upon my return from the main gala event of our reunion. Overcome with excitement from seeing old friends, feeling seventeen again it was impossible to fall sleep. I finished it quickly, it’s short and an easy read. I stood up and walked to the glass door of my bedroom. The sun was just coming up and it couldn’t have been more perfect and beautiful, a summer dawn in my native Honduras, an allegory for a new beginning? Jack was issuing a warning hoping to have an impact, to snatch our native Honduras away from the claws of this misery-spreading regressive form of government. My hope is to pull the blindfold from your eyes America with this message.
My friend’s book gave me pause and much to think about. Its contents eerily relate to what’s happening in America, the land I call home now. It gave me inspiration to come back and tell you, from Honduras with love, that with the help of a merciful Creator, following the example of the virtuous men that founded this nation, we must save the most generous, caring and magnificent nation God ever blessed mankind with, the United States of America. Those divinely inspired men left us an everlasting legacy with which to bind the mischief of man, our Constitution. Barack, destroyer of wealth and instigator of class envy and resentment must be a one-term president, his hands bound from the treasury, his ideology vanquished from the front stage.
Ronald Reagan laid it out simply. As government grows the liberty of the individual drastically shrinks. Mr. Obama is terrible for America & for the world. He has shrunk our freedom to prosper. He incorrectly believes that economic prosperity and freedom of opportunity for all come from re-distributing wealth. He believes in a big government making decisions for perfectly capable individuals. He is a classist obsessed with the term “middle class” (straight out of Karl Marx’s manifesto) and he has no idea of what fairness really means. In the land of upward mobility classist attitudes are anathema to our essence. Worst of all he already has an appalling economic record to run away from so he is running banking on “killing Romney”. Like it or not, America’s destiny is inextricably tied to that of the rest of the world and the rest of the world is holding America accountable and responsible for upholding the ideals of achievement, economic prosperity and liberty, free of class envy. The America I love and have made my home for the past 20 years casts this light for the rest of the world to follow. Mr. Obama is succeeding in dimming this light. Americans need to step up to the plate, blast the light on and vote him out.

If only you’d recognize the truth…..Would you answer honestly? Did you vote for skin color or for welfare handouts which you have come to feel entitled to as your deserved ‘safety-net”? If my experience serves me right you’ll want to “take me out”. Knock yourself out. Use every insult you can muster. I don’t care. Words are cheap, and only in the skewed world of the politically correct do words end careers. In Obama’s Amerika, I may no longer have one. My revenues are perhaps one fifth of what they’ve been, my clients are pressured by the insane uncertainty to refrain from spending or investing, and the mainstream media, Obama sycophants extraordinaire will make sure that you know nothing about the stratospheric amounts of debt and spending of Barack Obama’s White House. Barack Obama has succeeded in the fundamental transformation of America from rugged individualism to the welfare dependency mentality. He has also succeeded in installing a socialist Marxist extremely ideological platform of governance. My problem is with a system and a column of devotees that have been hood-winked into believing that the government should be responsible for their growth, achievement and welfare at the expense of others. My problem is with 51% of Amerikans who with Barack Obama think they are entitled to the sweat of my brow, to other people's achievements, successes or capital. Where I come from, we build our own businesses w/ the sweat of our foreheads and our backs, NOT by sticking our hand out…oddly, like America used to be.
If I may ask, do you recognize Marxism or Socialism when you see it? Do you know the origins of these leftist forms of government? Some will ridicule me while others will accuse me of spewing Republican talking points. Angry Obamabots will likely indict me as a racist. After you do that please take a moment and acquire an education on the difference between between a Republic, a democracy and a socialist-Marxist regime. I challenge you all to start by reading Saul Alinski's book "Rules for Radicals", and as a chaser, imbue yourself in "The Communist Manifesto". Barack Obama has defined himself as a Marxist. Through Freudian-like slips of the tongue or when the teleprompter has not been available, we have learned what he’s about: wealth-redistribution through taxation policy, class warfare (rubbing raw the middle class and inciting discontent and class envy against the rich, this is what used to be called the Proletariat vs the Bourgeoisie) and the government being the “provider”, the “husband” to single women....grabbing voraciously the means of production via heavily government subsidized initiatives (starting with the community reinvestment act enforced through ACORN, Solyndra and the turnover of corporate law with GM’s bailout for the UAW).
I'm an immigrant, from a small country who neighbors w/ at least one communist inspired dictatorship. I was brought up by politically conscious parents. Early on I had a great example to follow. My grandparents were respected pillars of the merchant community. I was taught also by example, to take care of my family and those dependent on me --of lesser means-- by tapping on entrepreneurial ingenuity and persistence. My parents and grandparents were driven by a deeply engrained social conscience, with great respect for life as a gift of our Creator. I studied architecture, got a master's in Urban Planning and Public Administration because I wanted to be the mayor of my capital and reign in growth to make it orderly, eliminate slums and stimulate economic growth via sustainable principles resting fully on the initiative of the individual. I admired this from our neighbor way up North, America. Because I saw so many cycles of people getting in power and turning corrupt, I vowed to be different.
For circumstances I don't need to describe I ended here, in the USA, working for an NGO. But let me tell you, I've read the Communist Manifesto, I've read Saul Alinski's "Rules for Radicals" and literature about the Third Reich among other political books. I understand SOCIALISM (frequently rooted in Marxism) I've seen it a work, up close and personal and I have yet to find anything positive to say.
Americans, my favorite people in the world, are showing an unprecedented lack of curiosity, hardly inquisitive and somewhat dulled by ignorance thanks to the protective veils the main stream press has draped on Barack Obama’s background, policy results and economy stats. The difference between you Obamaville citizens and me is that lack of interest you've shown to search for the context and roots of this man, the deaf ears that warning words from conservatives have fallen into. As Barack's followers, you accept his answers when it comes to the radical alliances of his past. I don’t think people are stupid. Blind perhaps? Quite expeditiously his associations, some of which go back more than 20 years, have been erased, covered up or ignored. Within the last three months his economic stats have been stretched out, manipulated, hidden or minimized. And what’s with the obsession with the race of Barack Obama, his skin color, claiming racism every time anyone has some criticism of him?
I don't know about you but, personally, I believe friends, family, even our choice of line of work partially tell a story of who we are. Interestingly this doesn't seem to apply to Obama who after two biographies, has made it a point of blurring his past. Why? Perhaps the line of commonalities between all past relations explains it. They are all radicals and/or communists. To this day, Ayers keeps harping on his love for anarchy. Frank Marshall Davis was a communist and more concerning, a pedophile. Don’t you find odd that Obama mentions him in one of his books as his mentor “Frank”? Wright is an Afro-centrist, Khalidi an anti-Semite. The list goes on. I do grant him the following recognition. He has achieved making the term community organizer (which used to be nothing but a rebel rouser and code word for instigator of societal discord) a mainstream word worthy of putting in your résumé. He has also managed a $600M plus campaign with other people's money and without disclosing his donors.
Barack Obama's stealth socialism is a threat to the American Dream, it's its antithesis. Hence I ask of you, where has the socialist platform been a success? The USA on the other hand, has been a beacon of growth and progress thanks to applied capitalism and a predominance of free markets. Until the September 11 attack, the burst of the Housing bubble, ignited with the CRA and energetically promoted by ACORN operatives America enjoyed a rather uneventful economic horizon. Let me spell out some names you should commit to memory for when the day of reckoning comes and integrity is back in vogue: Frank, Raines, Dodd, Waters and Meeks. The list is pretty long and pretty blue.
People should educate themselves before voting based on cogent knowledge of a candidate’s ability rather than likeability. I exhort you to document yourselves on the pros & cons of socialist and Marxist models and the actual words, approaches and policies that the comrade espouses which reveal, piercingly, what is hidden under his cloak of change and hope. At this moment you think only in the intoxication of victory, happiness and hand-outs. Tomorrow, you may wake up with a hangover that no pill will be able to re mediate. Re-think your choice. You have chosen to destroy your nation, my nation....I'm deeply sorry for my children and yours…..
A message to President Obama:
Marx declared that religion was opium to the masses failing to see how spirituality and deep faith in our Creator make a difference. God and country meant nothing to this man. It's unsettling to see that Mr. Obama has borrowed so many pages of Karl Marx's manifesto, preaching collectivism and wealth redistribution. Very recently, being without the muzzle of his infamous teleprompter, he revealed to the nation, Obama the Ideologue. He had the audacity and arrogance to insult the builders of America, small business owners, micro-entrepreneurs, exceptional individualism representatives. In Roanoke, while addressing a crowd high on hopium, Mr. Obama flaunted his Marxist collectivism and chastised anyone who does not see "that their success was possible thanks to others and the government." He dug the dagger deeper by saying in a critical accusatory tone "...you didn't build that, somebody else made that happen!" & "..built that system that allowed you to thrive"
Mr. Obama, let's see if we can put things in a way you will understand some basic Econ 101 concepts for governing a nation founded on free markets, individualism, merit, and Judeo-Christian values (see link for historical facts):
a)if you don't have businesses and individuals in a productive setting that can generate tax revenue, a government is unable to exist.
b)The government does not produce anything (...unless you want to call consumption a 'something". Believe or not, a confused liberal actually came up with that one....) therefore it relies on the tax revenue levied as a tax upon the productive population.
c)According to the constitution, the Federal government's job is to provide for the national defense, post office and general welfare.
d)That general welfare is built upon the backs of all those business owners and individual entrepreneurs who pay those taxes. Guess they end up paying for everything that their business needs to thrive huh?
e) If you do not know and understand these concepts, how the heck did so many Americans vote you into office?
They were high on hopium....the kind that leads them to lead lives taking government handouts and depending on that to secure a living.
Mr. Obama, ordinary hard-working Americans that have built their businesses from scratch have a message for you. If you really understood how America was founded you'd find shame in recognizing that the only reason people ever voted for you was because you provided their "fix", entitlements, food stamps, and a false sense of security. I If you were truly versed in Christian principle you would understand that if you fish for people they eat only one day. If you teach them to fish, they can be independent and eat for a lifetime. If you truly had business acumen you would understand the truly moral superiority of the free market system and its merit based foundations. As with opium, hopium has killed the drive in possibly 40%+ of Americans who would rather vote for food stamps rather than the freedom to prosper and get a paycheck.
As an immigrant naturalized American, I never thought I'd live to see this!
Americans from all walks of life, outraged at the indignant barrage of insults clearly laced with Marxist collectivism & redistributive ideology have fired back. We were elated to see the candidate to the presidency Mr. Romney fire back with a great ad which gives voice to individuals who have built this nation via their hard work and dedication to building their patrimonies. See "These Hands". We also loved the passion with which he defended his countrymen and the ideas on which this great nation were found.
What makes Americans such a unique people? What is the essence of our greatness as a nation? A few hours ago as I sat enjoying the best sweet potato fries in the Area at our Clifton Pub with one of my favorite people, another an iccon-ic patriot, the following occurred to me:
"Exceptionalism for Americans is not only their call, it's their duty....."
It is in our DNA and it is what drives our lives. It is what made Alexis De Tocqueville wonder in amazement upon his visit to America in 1831 accompanied by his good friend and colleague Beaumont.
It is the DNA that many of us imports have embraced as our own with our hearts and our souls because we understand the goodness of this call to the rest of the world.
I was born in Central America. I am now a naturalized citizen and there is nothing I would like more than to see America restored to greatness. There's nothing that ICCON patriots like myself would like more than to see Americans find their original identity, that identity that drove a group of enlightened men, guided by our Creator, to declare independence and design the most transcendental document that any properly constituted government or nation has ever seen. Dennis Prager during a Q & A held at the University of Denver said it best. Watch this short and enlightening video which should rekindle that fire that every American should know lies deep in their heart and shapes their DNA, that yearning for freedom, individualism, compassion, determination, courage, fortitude, justice and love of God, family and country.
Images speak more than a thousand words. Watch this short video, (hat tip Chicks On The Right )and see for yourself the inanity of the lefts green energy focus. The bumper sticker we've seen around which warns us that the way to confuse a liberal is to hit them with facts is right on the money. This is one more reason to encourage our children to go into STEM curricula and pursue careers in the hard science fields. So many critical positions in President Obama's cabinet are occupied by people who got there because they funded his campaign rather than because they are the best in the field required for the position occupied. Many of them are academics who have never held a real job, in the private sector!
Debbie Wasserman Schultz's insightful green policy rant.......lol

In the past three months alone President BHO has signed numerous executive orders. Some are more troubling than others. The three that we've lead this article with were flagged for us by The Daily Jot, a conservative blog, favorite of one of our contributors. Not only is the motive to sign sweeping, power-grabbing, executive orders like the ones listed below completely disconcerting, it is deeply troubling. I come from way down South of the border. I have seen this tracks before whereby the powers that be come into governance legitimately and then taking a dastardly break for the left start gearing via legislation or executive orders to set up a framework that at the bat of an eyelash (such as declaring an emergency situation..) would whip an unprecedented amount of power to the man in the White Hous*. This is not normal procedure for the man that should be comfortable with the title "leader of the Free world". Oh! I don't fool myself believing that the one is not comfortable in the role of leader. Actually he's narcissistically comfortable with the title of "leader" but pragmatically completely out of his league in fitting the part of "the Free World"!
Executive Order a) Nationalizing all US resources and property:
"Friday March 16, he issued the Defense Resource Preparedness EO which ordered the nationalization of all of America's natural resources, energy, private industry, property, transportation, food resources, health supplies, farm equipment, technology and potable water". The Daily Jot
All that needs to happen for this to go into effect is for him to declare a state of emergency! At the stroke of a pen, presto, ALL US RESOURCES and PROPERTY become the possession of our government! YIKES!
Executive Order b) Blocking the Property of people threatening or opposing President BHO Mid-East policies with three specific countries; and c) Blocking Property of Persons regarding Syria and Iran
"On April 23 and again on May 16, the president issued EOs declaring a national emergency that people materially opposing his policies in Syria, Iran and Yemen could have their property confiscated because they are considered threats to national security". The Daily Jot
If the government decides that they don't like your voiced opposition to their intervention in Yemen, Syria or Iran, you may be in deep trouble! At the stroke of a pen, presto, you can become a ward of a local jail! YIKES!
Recently passed bill: The Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Act--
This bill passed overwhelmingly and was, of course, immediately signed by the president. We were incredibly surprised to see that even Congressman Allen West, a warrior and staunch conservative we admire signed affirmatively!
This odd bill, includes in its "government ground protection" language that makes it a felony to protest or impede government business in a "restricted area" which could be arbitrarily determined. WHERE ON EARTH DID THIS COME FROM? And more importantly how was it passed by Boehner's House of Representatives? Geez Mr. Speaker!
But not all is completely lost!
Daily Jot again reports that Mr. Obama was dealt at least a temporary blow on May 16 when US District Judge Katherine Forrest ruled that the National Defense Authorization Act violates the First and Fifth Amendments. Forrest issued a preliminary injunction preventing the Administration from enforcing section 1021 pending further court or congressional action.
Federal Court blocks citizen detention plan--http://www.wnd.com/2012/05/obama-citizen-detention-plan-in-trouble/
Call your local congressman and ask why he or she voted yes to the mentioned bill and demand to know what Congress is doing to protect our liberties from the threat of all these executive orders!!

"In terms of ICCON's group goals regarding Capitalism, the free market is an organizing mechanism that permits the execution of economic transactions through voluntary cooperation. To participate in a free market is to be cleared from having to first secure a pedigree, a nationality, color, race, religion, or wealth. This is the high idea of equality of opportunity as each man is intrinsically of worth to participate. One can not argue to improve that principle. The smallest coin is able to purchase, participate, and multiply as well as the largest. A free market is again, "willing exchange" excluding coercion, protectionism, plunder, or theft. Every individual is free to part or not part with his coin even if they "feel" the price stinks. Bottom line is they do not have to buy any product. They are responsible for their economic choices. They may even withhold their coin in protest if they believe something is unjust or the product not worth the price. They may reward the producer with a purchase if they believe the product is worth while. The producer must operate in the context of this form of impersonal justice." S. Ross

Constitutional, limited government:
"In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution." --Thomas Jefferson, fair copy of the drafts of the Kentucky Resolutions of 1798
"The construction applied ... to those parts of the Constitution of the United States which delegate Congress a power ... ought not to be construed as themselves to give unlimited powers, nor a part to be so taken as to destroy the whole residue of that instrument." --Thomas Jefferson, Draft Kentucky Resolutions, 1798
"The example of changing a constitution by assembling the wise men of the state, instead of assembling armies, will be worth as much to the world as the former examples we had give them. The constitution, too, which was the result of our deliberation, is unquestionably the wisest ever yet presented to men." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to David Humphreys, 1789
"Our peculiar security is in the possession of a written Constitution. Let us not make it a blank paper by construction." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Wilson Nicholas, 1803
"Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people; and not for profit, honor, or private interest of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, the people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government; and to reform, alter, or totally change the same, when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." --John Adams, Thoughts on Government, 1776
"There is a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away. There is a time to fight, and that time has now come." --Peter Muhlenberg, from a Lutheran sermon read at Woodstock, Virginia, 1776
